A Northwest native, defender Sterling Flunder joins the Timbers U-23s after a season with the PDL’s West Virginia Chaos.
CAREER: Played one season for the West Virginia Chaos of the PDL in 2008 … COLLEGE: Played in 38 matches over two seasons with Marshall University … Was a two-time All-Conference USA selection, including second-team honors as a junior in 2007 … Guided the Thundering Herd to the C-USA Quarterfinals as a senior in 2008 … Transferred to Marshall from Spokane Community College … was listed by Top Drawer Soccer as one of the top recruits in the nation entering his freshman season in 2005. |
