Midfielder Avneet Shergill brings experience from abroad into the Timbers U-23s inaugural season in 2009.
CAREER: Played the 2008 PDL season for the West Virginia Chaos … Trained with Indian club JCT Mills of the India First Division during the 2007 preseason … While in camp with JCT Mills, his performance earned him a spot on India’s National Team watch list … COLLEGE: Split his collegiate career between Marshall University and Tyler Junior College … In two seasons at Marshall, played in 34 games and scored seven goals … Scored nine goals in two seasons at Tyler Junior College … was selected to the NSCAA Jr. College All-West Region Team. |
