Biography: Keel joins the Timbers this season after four years with the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.
2008: Set new career-highs, starting six matches and playing 540 minutes with the Colorado Rapids ... Also played in 10 matches with the Rapids Reserves.
2007: Played in four matches, including one start, for the Rapids ... Logged 177 minutes ... Made his MLS debut on June 28 at home against D.C. United; played 19 minutes as a sub ... Started all 10 games for the Rapids Reserves ... Led the reserves to a 7-0-3 record and their second straight MLS Reserve Division championship ... was named MLS Magazine's Reserve Player of the Year and the Rapids' Reserve Player of the Year ... Prior to the season, trained for two weeks with Mexican club Pachuca.
2006: Anchored the backline for Colorado's reserve team, and was the only Rapids player to play every minute of the MLS Reserve Division season ... Guided the reserves to the MLS Reserve Division title ... Named the team's Reserve Player of the Year ... College: Played his collegiate career at Wake Forest University, where he recorded 12 goals and four assists in 62 games ... Appeared in 19 matches and tallied three goals and one assist in both his junior (2003) and senior (2004) seasons ... Scored a career-high four goals his freshman season, finding the back of the net on four of the five shots he took all season ... As a sophomore, helped Wake Forest capture the ACC regular-season title in 2002 ... Led the Demon Deacons to the NCAA tournament in each of his final two seasons, and helped the team enter the 2004 tournament as the No. 1 seed. |
