Biography:
Returning for a second season in 2010, Cronin was an all-league goalkeeper for the Timbers last season.
 
2009: Won USL First Division Goalkeeper of the Year honors in his first season with the Timbers ... Also selected to the all-league first team ... Posted a 15-4-9 record during the regular season ... Matched a modern franchise record for wins in a single season (15) ... Ranked second in the league with 10 shutouts ... Was named to the USL-1 Team of the Week in Weeks 8 and 21 ... Started all three of Portland’s U.S. Open Cup fixtures ... Loaned to Major League Soccer’s D.C. United following the season ... Played in two regular season games, posting a 1-0-1 record and one shutout ... Also played in United’s CONCACAF Champions League game against Mexico’s Toluca on Oct. 20.
 
2008: Played in 22 games (all starts) for the Los Angeles Galaxy ... started the first 22 matches of the season before injuring his right hand on Aug. 30 against New England ... recorded the club's only two shutouts on the season and finished the year with 92 saves.
 
2007: Made one appearance for the Galaxy on Sept. 1 against Real Salt Lake ... Contributed to the team’s U.S. Open Cup run playing in three tournament games ... With the Galaxy reserves, played in seven games as a goalkeeper and forward.
 
2006: Made four starts for Los Angeles ... Recorded a 1.25 goals-against average over those appearances ... Picked up his first MLS career victory on April 29 over Real Salt Lake ... Recorded two shutouts in 11 MLS Reserve Division matches.
 
2005: Was acquired by the Galaxy from the San Jose Earthquakes in a trade on Jan. 12 ... Made his MLS debut in a 2-2 draw against the Kansas City Wizards ... Earned the win in a 5-2 result over Chivas USA in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup.
 
2004: Selected 10th overall by the Earthquakes in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft ... did not make a first-team appearance during his rookie season.
 
NATIONAL TEAM: Was a member of the U.S. National Team pool in 2008 and served as the backup in a 2-0 win over Sweden on Jan. 19 ... Was a part of the U.S. National Team at the U-17, U-18 and U-20 levels from 1998-2003 ... Started all five matches for the U.S. U-20 National Team and earned goalkeeper of the tournament honors at the FIFA World Youth Championships in the United Arab Emirates in 2003 ... In 2002, was named the top goalkeeper at the C.O.T.I.F. XIX Torneig Internacional in Spain ... Played in all three matches for the U.S. U-18s that won the 2001 International Tournament of Lisbon.
 
COLLEGE: Played three seasons at Santa Clara University ... Led the Broncos to West Coast Conference titles in 2001 and 2003 ... Was an All-WCC first-team selection as a junior and received all-league honorable mention as a freshman in 2001 ... Despite missing parts of his sophomore and junior seasons due to commitments with the U.S. National Team, played in 37 matches during his time at SCU, posting a career mark of 22-8-4.
