Biography:
A Northwest native, Farber returns for a second season with the Timbers in 2010.
 
2009: Started 23 of his 29 appearances for the Timbers ... Recorded a career-high four assists ... Assisted both goals in a 2-1 road win over Puerto Rico on May 24 ... Scored two goals in the second leg of the team’s semifinal series at PGE Park against Vancouver ... Added one goal and two assists for Portland during the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tournament ... Was named to the USL First Division Team of the Week in Weeks 4, 6, and 7.
 
2007: Appeared in all 28 regular-season matches for the Minnesota Thunder ... Finished the season as the team’s leading scorer and ranked among league leaders with seven goals and three assists ... Also led the Thunder in minutes played ... Named to USL First Division All-League Second Team.
 
CAREER: Has played in several Major League Soccer Reserve Division matches with the Houston Dynamo (2006) and San Jose Earthquakes (2004) ... Has enjoyed a productive professional indoor career with the California/Stockton Cougars ... In five indoor seasons has collected 100 goals and 54 assists in 105 indoor games ... Led the Cougars to the 2008-09 Premier Arena Soccer League-Pro championship ... Named the league’s MVP, totaling 49 goals and 22 assists in 21 games during the season ... Netted a team-high 24 goals during the 2009-10 season and ranked among league leaders in goals, assists and points ... Selected to the PASL-Pro All-League second team ... Led Cougars to the semifinals of the PASL-Pro North American championship.
 
COLLEGE: Played first two collegiate seasons at North Idaho College (2000-01) ... Tallied 66 career points at NIC, becoming the school’s all-time career leader in points ... Named the team’s Offensive MVP in 2001, recording 38 points during the season ... Transferred to Oregon State University for his final two collegiate seasons (2002-03) ... Earned All-Pac-10 second-team honors and was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic team as a senior in 2003 ... Led the Beavers to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances (2002, 2003) ... Played 40 games over two seasons at OSU, recording two goals and one assist.
 
PERSONAL: Proposed to fiancé, Kristy, at PGE Park following a match between the Timbers and Thunder on Aug. 9, 2007 ... Inducted into the North Idaho College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009 ... Was in the same NIC hall of fame class as major league baseball player Jason Bay ... Enjoys participating in all board sports ... Brother is a professional motocross rider.
