An experienced, MLS veteran, Johnson enters his first season with the Timbers in 2013. He played for Real Salt Lake for five seasons (2008-12), where he was a key contributor in the club’s MLS Cup-winning season in 2009 and ranks among career leaders in games played (114), games started (104) and minutes played (9,445). Johnson, an MLS All-Star in 2009, has played in at least 25 regular-season matches and logged 2,000 minutes in each of the last four regular seasons. On the international level, Johnson has 31 caps with the Canada National Team since making his senior team debut at the age of 18 in 2005.
