A product of the Manchester United youth academy, Johnson was one of the first four players signed by the Timbers on Oct. 19, 2010, for their inaugural MLS season. Johnson was the second-leading scorer in the USSF Division-2 Pro League in 2010, scoring 14 goals for Austin; he left the club as its all-time leading scorer with 20 goals in two seasons.
2012: Is out indefinitely following a concussion suffered in preseason.
2011: Made seven league appearances (3 starts) for the Timbers in 2011 ... Scored his first MLS goal in just his second MLS start July 30 against Toronto FC ... His goal was nominated for MLSsoccer.com’s Goal of the Week for Week 20 ... Totaled a goal and an assist over a pair of July friendlies against West Bromwich Albion and Club Atletico Independiente ... Earned his first MLS start July 2 at JELD-WEN Field against Sporting Kansas City ... For the Timbers Reserves, netted three goals in three starts ... Recorded a two-goal performance against the Chivas USA Reserves June 5 ... Was named to the USL First Division All-League Second Team ... Was selected by The Austin Chronicle as the city’s best player following the 2009 season.
2008-09: Made the move to his hometown club Chester City for the season, signing on Oct. 15, 2008 ... Played in 11 games for the Blues ... He played in a total of 133 league games over seven seasons in Europe before making the move to the Austin Aztex in 2009. 2007-08: Scored four goals in 34 games with England’s Bradford City AFC.
2006-07: Played in 37 games and scored four goals with Bradford City AFC.2005-06: Spent the 2005-06 season on loan with England’s Crewe Alexandra, where he tallied five goals in 22 appearances.
