A product of the Manchester United youth academy, John­son was one of the first four players signed by the Timbers on Oct. 19, 2010, for their inaugural MLS season. Johnson was the second-leading scorer in the USSF Division-2 Pro League in 2010, scoring 14 goals for Austin; he left the club as its all-time leading scorer with 20 goals in two seasons.

2012: Is out indefinitely following a concussion suffered in preseason.

2011: Made seven league appearances (3 starts) for the Timbers in 2011 ... Scored his first MLS goal in just his second MLS start July 30 against Toronto FC ... His goal was nominated for MLSsoccer.com’s Goal of the Week for Week 20 ... Totaled a goal and an assist over a pair of July friendlies against West Bromwich Albion and Club Atletico Independiente ... Earned his first MLS start July 2 at JELD-WEN Field against Sporting Kansas City ... For the Timbers Reserves, netted three goals in three starts ... Recorded a two-goal performance against the Chivas USA Reserves June 5 ... Missed seven league matches at the begin­ning of the season with an Achilles injury and sustained a concussion Aug. 17, which kept him out for the remainder of the season.

2010: Led the Austin Aztex of the USSF Division-2 Pro League in scoring with 14 goals and four assists during the regular season ... Finished second in the league in scoring (32 points) and goals (14) behind eventual Timbers team­mate Ryan Pore ... Led the Aztex to their first postseason appearance in franchise history ... Scored a 15th goal on the season for the Aztex in the second leg of their first-round playoff series against the Montreal Impact ... Played 26 games (24 starts) during the regular season, logged 2,098 minutes and ranked second in the league with 76 shots ... Selected to the USSF Division-2 Pro League Best XI following the season ... Named the USSF Division-2 Pro League May Player of the Month, recording five goals and two assists during the month ... Totaled three, two-goal performances during the campaign ... Netted the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Miami FC Blues on June 26 ... 2009: Appeared in 22 games for the expansion Austin Aztex of the USL First Division ... Finished his first season with the club as the leading scorer with 14 points ... Totaled a team-high five goals along with his four assists in 1,873 minutes on the pitch ... Also played in two of the Aztex’s three matches during the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, scoring against MLS’ Houston Dynamo in a 2-0 win in the third round ... Was named to the USL First Division All-League Second Team ... Was selected by The Austin Chronicle as the city’s best player following the 2009 season.

2008-09: Made the move to his hometown club Chester City for the season, signing on Oct. 15, 2008 ... Played in 11 games for the Blues ... He played in a total of 133 league games over seven seasons in Europe before making the move to the Austin Aztex in 2009. 2007-08: Scored four goals in 34 games with England’s Bradford City AFC.

2006-07: Played in 37 games and scored four goals with Bradford City AFC.2005-06: Spent the 2005-06 season on loan with Eng­land’s Crewe Alexandra, where he tallied five goals in 22 appearances.

2004-05: Loaned out to Coventry City by Manchester United for the season and scored in his team debut, con­tributing to a 2-0 win over Sunderland on Aug. 7, 2004 ... Recorded five goals in 26 games for Coventry City.

2003-04: Made his professional debut with Manchester United on Oct. 28, 2003, at the age of 17 in a 3-2 win over Leeds United in a League Cup fixture ... Was loaned by the Red Devils to Belgian club Royal Antwerp FC, where he scored five goals in 11 appearances.

2002-03: Earned a call-up to the first team after scoring a goal to help Manchester United’s youth side claim the 2002-03 Youth FA Cup.

INTERNATIONAL: Was a member of England’s Youth National Team system from the U-16 to U-20 levels ... Competed in the 2003 FIFA U-20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates with the England U-20 National Team ... Ap­peared in all three matches during the group stage, facing Colombia, Egypt and Japan.
