A product of the Timbers U-23s, Evans signs as the club’s second Homegrown Player. The Portland native played four seasons with the Timbers U-23s from 2009-12, helping the team win the 2010 PDL championship. He ranks among the team’s all-time leaders in games played and goals. Evans had three standout seasons at the University of Portland during his collegiate career, earning All-West Coast Conference honors all three seasons.

2013: Started a fifth straight match for the Timbers Reserves on May 19 in a 1-1 draw on the road against Vancouver Whitecaps FC Reserves ... Logged 90 minutes on April 15 in a 2-1 win against the Earthquakes Reserves at JELD-WEN Field ... Contributed to a 2-1 win over VSI Tampa Bay FC of USL PRO in the team's home opener at JELD-WEN Field ... Featured for the Timbers Reserves on March 31 in a 1-0 road loss to the Rapids Reserves ... Played the full 90 minutes and assisted on the game-winning goal in the Timbers Reserves' season-opening 1-0 win over the Sounders FC Reserves March 17.

2012: Named the club’s 2012 Timbers U-23s Player of the Year … Played 17 games during the Premier Development League campaign, scoring four goals and logging one assist … Helped lead the Timbers U-23s to a second-place finish in the Northwest Division and to the Western Conference semifinals … Scored two of his four goals in a 4-0 win over the Kitsap Pumas May 24 at JELD-WEN Field … Played in the team’s first-ever appearance in the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, starting a first-round match against PSA Elite on May 15. 

2009-11: Was a member of the inaugural Timbers U-23s roster as a senior in high school in 2009 … Appeared in 10 regular-season matches during his first PDL season … Helped the Timbers U-23s become the first undefeated champion in league history with a 20-0-0 record in 2010, playing in five regular-season and four postseason matches … Notched the game-winning goal in the Western Conference semifinals against Hollywood United and registered an assist on the game-winning strike by Brent Richards in the PDL title match at PGE Park … Made seven appearances during the 2011 PDL campaign, recording two goals and one assist.

INTERNATIONAL: Was called into camp with the U.S. U-20 National Team in December 2010 in Sunrise, Fla. … Started and played 77 minutes in a 2-0 win over Canada in a friendly Dec. 16, 2010, at Lynn University.

COLLEGE: Played three seasons at the University of Portland, where he compiled 24 goals and 12 assists in 53 career matches with the Pilots … Tallied a career-best 14 goals in 19 matches during his junior season in 2012, finishing second in the conference and eighth among NCAA leaders in goals scored … Received WCC Player of the Month for August 2012 after scoring four goals in the opening month of the season … Tallied the first hat trick for the Pilots since 2003 in a 4-3 loss to Seattle University on Sept. 21, 2012 … Scored all three goals in the first half of the contest … Ranked among the West Coast Conference’s goal-scoring leaders in each of his last two seasons as a sophomore and a junior … Was a three-time All-WCC selection, including first-team honors in 2011 and 2012 … Garnered NSCAA All-Far West Region second-team honors following his junior season … Named the NSCAA Player of the Week on Sept. 28, 2011, after registering three goals and two assists in a three-game stretch …  Paced the Pilots in assists in his first two seasons, recording four assists as a freshman and five as a sophomore … Became the first Pilot since 2004 to garner WCC Freshman of the Year honors in 2010 … Also named to the All-WCC Second Team, WCC All-Freshman Team and the College Soccer News All-Freshman Team following first collegiate season … Twice named to the Preseason All-WCC Team (2011, 2012).

PERSONAL: Was an all-state player at Portland’s Central Catholic High School during his prep career, winning Mt. Hood Conference Player of the Year honors as a senior in 2009 and a state championship as a sophomore in 2007 … Played club soccer for Eastside Timbers, a member of the adidas Timbers Alliance, and was a member of the Eastside team that won the U.S. Youth Soccer U-18 national championship in 2010 … Is the fifth former Timbers U-23s player to sign with the first team … Majoring in business at the University of Portland.
