Week 9’s midweek game was marked by attacking play, as Miami FC journeyed to Puerto Rico to take on the Islanders in a Wednesday night matchup. An exciting second half saw six goals scored, with Puerto Rico earning the 4-2 victory.

U.S. Soccer announced today that Austin Aztex forward Eddie Johnson was voted the USSF Division-2 Professional League May Player of the Month. Johnson recorded five goals and two assists during the month of May to propel the Aztex to first place in the league and a 4-0-2 record over the course of the month.

The Austin Aztex and Tampa Bay Rowdies were two of three teams to take six points from two matches this week in USSF D-2 Pro League action to establish themselves at the top of the USL Conference with 20 and 18 points respectively.

Week 6 of the USSF D-2 Pro League will kick off with a Thursday matchup between the Portland Timbers and Crystal Palace Baltimore at 10 p.m. ET, as the Maryland club will look to continue its West Coast success last week when they visit the Timbers at PGE Park.
