The Portland Timbers traveled to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Fire and came away with their first road win on the season in a gritty 1-0 victory. While the team had some help from the woodwork, few would deny the important contributions goalkeeper Troy Perkins made on the day with numerous clutch saves to preserve the victory and pick up his fourth shutout of 2011
