The Timbers advanced to the postseason for the fifth time in their seven seasons since joining the USL First Division in 2001. Portland’s last trip to the playoffs was in 2005, suffering a first-round loss to the Seattle Sounders.
The USL First Division playoffs begin on Sept. 14, with the first two rounds consisting of a two-game, aggregate-goal series. The 2007 USL First Division champion will be determined in a one-game final hosted by one of the two finalists.
Undated regular-season vouchers and all special-offer coupons are not redeemable and are void for all Timbers playoff games.
The Timbers host Jersey-Off-Our-Backs Night at PGE Park on Aug. 23 as they battle the Charleston Battery in the final home match of the regular-season. Fans have opportunity to take home a player-worn, autographed Timbers jersey through a silent bid held before and during the game. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The first 2,000 fans on Aug. 23 will receive Timbers caps courtesy of Volkswagen.
