Portland Timbers Friendship Cup
What is the Friendship Cup?
For over 25 years, the Friendship Cup tournament has served as one of the top ODP tournaments in the country. The list of professional and national team players who have played in this event is endless and with the Portland Timbers now taking over the Oregon ODP program and establishing academy teams at the U16 and U18 groups, the event takes a new direction, hosting MLS pre‐academy teams, ECNL girl’s teams and ODP teams.
Tualatin Hills Recreation Center in Beaverton, Oregon will once again host the Friendship Cup tournament in May. The ‘Rec Center’ owns, as anybody will tell you, the three of the top grass fields in the state of Oregon along with two turf fields making the five‐field complex a perfect location and size for this tournament. The ‘Rec Center’ is roughly 30 minutes west of Portland and about an hour away from the Oregon Coast. The address for the Tualatin Hills Recreation Center is 15707 SW Walker Rd, Beaverton, OR 97006.
Tournament cost for three games is $400 and tournament cost for four games is $475. Checks can be made out and sent to Portland Timbers (Attn: Erik Lyslo), 1844 SW Morrison, Portland, OR 97205.
