About our Academy
Portland Timbers Academy provides a professional pathway for elite players with the potential to become a Homegrown player for the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer.
Our goal has been to establish an effective learning environment focused on facilitating professional player development. We have a vertically collaborative environment with effective and efficient communication channels.
We want players to display passion for the game and pride in being a part of the Portland Timbers Academy. An early part of a player’s education will be about learning to compete in a fun and challenging environment. As they progress, they will experience many challenges and need to be persistent to overcome failures and achieve their goals. Through this journey, the players should learn to be confident in their ability and display leadership to others.
The Portland Timbers Academy fields teams at the U15 and U17 ages. The teams are fully funded for programming the entire year.
